PRE-DYNO CHECK LIST
ALL PEDAL COMMANDERS OR THROTTLE BOOSTERS MUST BE REMOVED BY OWNER PRIOR TO SCHEDULED TUNING APPOINTMENT.
ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES, TIRES THAT HOLD AIR, and have NO CAGE
ADDITIONAL FEE of $100 will be added to the price of your tune if batteries have to be charged and/or tires need to be aired up
Please verify any check engine light codes prior to scheduling
1. OIL:
Oil pressure is proper psi and proper level
NO OIL LEAKS-repair if necessary
2. FUEL:
Vehicle needs at least HALF TANK of fuel-if your gas gauge does not work let us know
Fuel pressure must be at proper psi
NO FUEL LEAKS-repair if necessary, fuel leaks can start a FIRE
If using Flex Fuel E54/E85-make sure you have tested the alcohol content prior to dyno
If tuning for both 91 octane and flex fuel, you need to have about 10 miles left of 91 octane in tank (low fuel light on) and bring 10 gallons of your flex fuel (E54/E85/T85) with you
3. VACUUM/EXHAUT/BOOST leaks
Repair any leaks found **any leaks small or large will affect your tune
4. TIRES-NO SLICKS and NO RE-TREADED TIRES!!!!!!!
Tire pressure should be at proper psi and Lug Nuts torqued to sp
Tires should be GREAT shape and have plenty of tread
Must maintain/hold air pressure
5. COOLANT:
Coolant level is at proper level
NO COOLANT LEAKS- repair if necessary, can cause overheating
6. AUTO OR MANUAL TRANSMISSION:
Check transmission fluid is at proper level
Transmission/Clutch slipping-vehicle CANNOT be Dyno tuned
Clutch gears grinding or missing a gear-vehicle CANNOT be Dyno tuned
7. BATTERY- DO NOT ARRIVE WITH A DEAD OR UNDERCHARGED BATTERY
MUST BE FULLY CHARGED AND MAINTAIN THE CHARGE DURING TUNING.
IF A BATTERY FAILS DURING FLASHING IT CAN FATALLY HARM YOU ECU and you will be responsible for towing your vehicle off your vehicle.
Battery needs to be at proper voltage/amps and hold a charge-DO NOT BRING A VEHICLE WITH A DEAD BATTERY, if you do, we will charge you $50 to charge it
8. SPARK PLUGS:
*Not sure then ask what spark plugs are recommended*** and gapped properly for your application
***SUPERCHARGED, TURBO CHARGED & NITROUS vehicles need AT LEAST ONE step colder than stock plugs and gapped differently than stock plugs
9. Make sure MAF/MAP sensor is wired and working properly
10. NITROUS:-Make sure your nitrous bottle is filled, bottle warmer and pressure gauge are functional, your window switch works-your system needs to work properly. Teflon tape should never be used on any part of the nitrous setup.
11. BELTS
All belts need to be in good condition
Make sure you do not have any belts slip-especially on boosted applications it affects boost
